The Poodle breed is really fantastic and make perfect family pets. They are affectionate, energetic and loving, but they can also be quite stubborn and domineering. Decide where you will put the litter box. Take your time to decide because you should not move the box later because you will confuse the puppy. Buy the biggest litter box you can find and fill it with shredded paper. Regular kitty litter can be harmful to dogs so don’t use it for your Poodle.
When Poodle litter box training you need to rake the puppy to the litter box every couple of hours and whenever signaled by the puppies behavior. Signs like excessive sniffing and circling are indicative of needing to go potty.
After a while your dog will understand to use the litter box on its own. Successful Poodle litter box training also requires a lot of praise, reinforcing proper use of the litter box. A pat on the head along with verbal praise goes along way when housebreaking. Yelling or striking a dog is always abuse and is counter productive to any training, fear is not the same thing as respect.
