Pocono Mountain Resorts - Visit Them Not Just In Winter

When it comes to the Pocono Mountain Resorts you are not restricted to just visiting during the winter months. But rather these resorts are suitable for visiting at any time of the year. Okay they are famous for their skiing facilities, but there are plenty of other activities one can enjoy at the many different Pocono Mountain Resorts today.

Yes the Pocono Mountains are renowned for providing great skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing facilities in the winter. Yet there are plenty of other wonderful activities that one can enjoy in this part of Pennsylvania throughout the rest of the year including some great water and fun parks.

For the couples there are resorts such as Caesar’s and Paradise Stream which they can enjoy but for families there are plenty of others to consider. Below we look at just some of the resorts to consider if you are thinking of taking a vacation any time in the future to the Pocono Mountains.

Fernwood Resort is situated close to the town of Bushkill and you can either stay in a studio room or a suite, or if you want to consider booking one of their 1 or 2 bedroom villas instead. The price of the rooms depending on what you book cost as little as $129 per night and go up to as much as $299 per night, but this is if you intend to stay midweek. Weekend prices can be considerably more expensive.

This resort offers a wide range of activities for the whole family to enjoy from basketball and tens, to indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a fitness centre. Plus if you want to just spend time exploring the area there are plenty of nature trails around the resort you can enjoy. However, the best thing about this resort is all that the activities we have mentioned are included in the price you pay for your room.

The Skytop Lodge resort is situated in nearly 5,500 acres of Pocono Mountain land and accommodation choices are great. You can either stay in the more affordable standard rooms that the resort has to offer or book yourself a mini suite or cottage instead. Each weekend programs are run where naturalist come into the resort and teach you and show you more about the nature surrounding it. However, along with activities such as these the resort also offers you the chance to have a go at trout fishing or just spend time relaxing in its indoor pool.

The Woodlock Pines Resort is near to the town of Hawley which is in the northern part of the Pocono Mountains. The resort covers a total of 250 acres and there are plenty of activities to keep everyone amused especially the kids during your stay. Along with water skiing, there is a miniature golf course and games arcades. Plus it is perfectly situated for your to be able to explore the countryside as well.

If you are thinking about visiting this part of Pennsylvania it is advisable that you do in fact book your accommodation well in advance of your vacation dates if you want to avoid being disappointed.
